Architecture
The components of InterMail are:
- POP3 - the client access
server that supports the POP3 protocol
- IMAP4 - the client access
server that supports the IMAP4 protocol
(pre-release version in the Tornado release)
- MSS - the Message Store
Server that is responsible for storing users'
mail
- MTA - the Message Transport
Agent that delivers SMTP mail into and out of the
system
- High Performance Directory - a
single large directory for the user base
- Administration - a
centralized system with command line access
